After Dinner many loyal Healths were drank, and a Song composed on the Occasion was sung by one of the Messieurs with universal Applause.
The transparent Paintings which were exhibited last Year at the Royal Academy in Pall Mall were removed to Somerset House, and placed on a Scaffolding built for that Purpose, over the great Gateway leading into the Palace, and caused a magnificent Appearance, to the great Pleasure of a vast Concourse of Spectators.
Between eleven and twelve the right hand Side of the Painting at the Royal Academy took Fire, which, however, did not consume the Whole, but only that Institution in which it began. It was extinguished by a Person immediately going up and knocking that Part of the Scaffold to Pieces.
