SNEWPapers provides access to a digitized archive of historical American newspapers, along with research tools including search, collections, and AI-assisted analysis. The Service is provided on a subscription basis with various tiers offering different levels of access.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to access most features of the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or bulk-download content
  • Redistribute or commercially exploit content from the Service without authorization
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure

5. Intellectual Property

The historical newspaper content available through the Service is sourced from public domain materials. However, the organization, presentation, summaries, analysis, and derived content produced by SNEWPapers are proprietary and protected by copyright, trade secret, and/or contractual restrictions. 6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any content is completely accurate. Historical content has been processed using AI and may contain errors.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SNEWPapers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
