CONNECTICUT.

The Loco-Focos of this State held a Convention at Middletown on Wednesday, and nominated for re-election Gov. Cleveland and the rest of their State Officers except Jabez L. White, the Treasurer, in whose place Charles H. Pond was placed in nomination.

On the selection of Delegates to the Baltimore Convention a spirited contest took place. The opponents of Mr. Van Buren proposed that the choice be left to the several Congressional Districts, which was negatived by eight majority in a vote of some 300. The friends of Mr. Calhoun, on a direct vote, numbered 66. The following Delegates to Baltimore were chosen:

Noyes Billings, London
Isaac Toucey, Hartford.
Ralph J. Ingersoll, N. Haven.
Wm. Field, Windham.
John Cotton Smith, Litchfield.
Vernon Stiles, Tolland.

Messrs. Ingersoll and Smith are said to be Calhoun men. We shall see.—N. Y. Tribune.
