MINISTER WEARS SMILE BECAUSE OF WORK DONE AT PASCO

Rev. A. W. Laningham returned to North Yakima Monday from Pasco where he was a witness for the state at a wedding. The bride was a young girl, who had she failed to obtain a husband, would have become a ward of the state. The groom was a young man who was in the jail at Pasco because of a complaint which had been made against him by the girl.

The situation was a rather involved one for the ordinary legal mind but was simple to Mr. Laningham. He proposed a wedding, the bride and groom agreed, a minister was obtained without difficulty and instead of making several lives miserable a fine young couple was made happy. And that was the reason Mr. Laningham still wore a smile when he arrived in Yakima.
