ORGANIZE NEW CHURCH
CATAWBA FALLS BAPTIST
REV. J. A. BURGIN. PASTOR

Sunday afternoon, November 11,
a meeting was held at Catawba
school near Old Fort, when the Catawba
Falls Missionary Baptist
church was organized. Rev. R. L.
Smith, pastor of the Old Fort Baptist
church, acted as chairman; F. E.
May acted as clerk. Rev. J. A. Condrey,
moderator of the Blue Ridge
association, made the prayer, and
preached from Matthew 16:18.

Rev. J. A. Burgin was elected pastor
of the new church and Ernest
Roland was named its clerk.
