Bloody Termination of a Drunken Bout.

Putnam was agitated on Friday last by a stabbing affray, which gave indication of resulting in a murder. Stephen Ryan and Sullivan Dadano had been drinking together, and there ensued a quarrel and blows, followed later by a murderous assault, Dadano stabbing Ryan in the stomach near the heart with a dirk. The Italian immediately fled the town, and has so far eluded arrest Ryan came near death's door, but at last accounts chances for recovery were considered favorable. Dadano is said to be the son of a titled nobleman in the service of the king of Italy.
