In Crash Thursday
Near Milford Center
No one was injured but a car and a truck were damaged in an accident south of Milford Center on Route 4 at 12:30 p. m. Thursday.
The car, a 1946 Mercury driven by Leo F. Cullum, Jersey City, N. J., went out of control and hit a 1947 International semi-truck at the bridge over Treacle's Creek about two miles south of Milford.
The truck driver said that he had just gone through the bridge when the Mercury came over the center line and hit him. Mr. Cullum said that the car did not respond to his efforts to bring it back on the right side of the road.
The car was completely damaged on the front end and right rear and the truck had three tires blown out and the cab frame knocked out of line. The car was taken to the Huffman garage in Marysville. Deputy Sheriff Franklin K. Simpson investigated the accident.
