Petersburg, June 17. Count Woronzeff, in a late conference with the Turkish minister, having represented to him that several of his actions were altogether incompatible with the law of nations, and with the treaties subsisting between the two courts: the Muftian answered very short, that he was much surprised at such discourse, considering the number of Russian troops now in Poland, in direct defiance of those laws, and of all treaties: and that they were very much mistaken if they believed his Sublime Highness would remain a tame spectator of such violations.
