Friday last by Virtue of his Honor the Lieut. Governor's Proclamation, 22 of our Provincial Soldiers were taken up and committed to His Majesty's Goal in order for Tryal. - These Soldiers have been Part of the Garrison of Fort Cumberland, in the Bay of Fundy. who engaged in that Service upon Assurance of being Discharged at a certain Period; their Time of Service as they pretend. being expired, and no Relief appearing, they on the 15th Instant forcibly entred a Sloop, one Bragdon Master, brought the Vessel under Sail. and arrived here last Thursday Morning; they also brought their Arms with them, but on Pretence of delivering them again at Castle William, from whence they own that they receiv'd them; after giving Bail for their Appearance, they were on Saturday last discharged from their Confinement, and are now on their Way home to their Families and Friends, from which they have been long absent.
