Candidate for Railroad Commissioner Visits City

Hon. M. L. Johnson Given a Cordial Reception by Dawson People.

Hon. M. L. Johnson, of Bartow county, who is a candidate for railroad commissioner to succeed Hon. Murphy Candler, was a prominent visitor to Dawson on Wednesday. Mr. Johnson has been a well known and influential member of the legislature for a number of years, and is making an active campaign for the position of rail commissioner. He has a number of friends in Terrell county who were formerly residents of his section of the state, and he spent considerable time mingling with these and meeting the people generally on his visit here.

He made a very favorable impression among the citizens he met. and said that he felt greatly encouraged over his prospect for election.
