By Capt. Winslow who arrived here Yesterday
in 10 Days from Louisbourg we learn, That all the
Garrison under Convoy of 2 Men of War were sailed
for England.--That 3 Regiments under the Command
of General Wolf. were embarking on board
7 Transports, and were to sail in a few Days for
Quebec in the River St. Lawrence, together with the
following Men of War. viz. The Royal William
of 84 Guns. Admiral Hardy. the Bedford of 64.
Lancaster of 64. Devonshire of 64. Pembroke of 60.
Vanguard of 64, two Frigates, and one Fireship.--
That great Numbers of our People were employed
in pulling down the West Gate, which is to be re-
built and made stronger,--That the Ships employed
in weighing those sunk by the Enemy had given
over their Undertaking, not being able to accomplish
it.--That a Number of Transports were ordered to be
ready to take on board 6 Regiments, who were to sail
for this Place, and are to reinforce our Army at Lake
George.--That Col. Monckton with 1500 Troops and
several Frigates were going to St. John's River in the
Bay of Fundy, to take Possession of the important
Posts the Enemy now have there.--That the French
64 Gun Ship was refitting and was going to England.--
That the French Inhabitants were daily Shipping off,
and as fast as they were on board Sailed for France.--
That Capt. Rous was soon to sail to Cruise off
Newfoundland.
