Bridge Letting
According to announcement, the bids for the building of Sugar Run Bridge were opened on Saturday last, by J. R. Ellis, the Commissioner who has its construction in charge.

There were but three bids filed in. Messrs. Huff & Lisley bid $1,995; S. L. Ross $1,980, and Mr. George Bauer $1,250. Of course Mr. Bauer's bid was accepted, and on his giving the necessary bonds the contract was closed, and the bridge is to be built for that sum.

Mr. Bauer is an industrious and good workman, and will perform his contract faithfully. We should be glad to see him make good wages on the job, but fear he will find it a pretty hard bargain. If the bridge can be built for that sum, the people of the County are certainly fortunate in securing the job on the above terms.
