THIRD GRADE
(Mrs. Davis.)
The children of this room are very
sorry to lose Elmer Lindstrom, who
is moving to Chicago.
Geneva Feero is absent this week
on account of illness.
The number work classes are taking
the multiplication table of six's
the main topic this week. Some time
is also given to linear measurements.
The "Good Manners" booklets have
been completed. They have a very
attractive cover in brown.
In honor of Lincoln's birthday the
children are drilling in the oral reproduction
of the story of Lincoln.
For this month the leading poem
that was memorized is "The Children's Hour."
Two new bean bag games, one a
quiet one and the other a lively one,
proved very popular in the gymnasium
this week.
At the children's request the music
to "Sweet and Low" was presented.
This, in addition to a Valentine
song, has been the song recreation in
the music class working at exercises
in the key of B flat.
