NEWBURY-PORT, June 20.
No choice having been made by the people, of a President, for the State of New-Hampshire, the House of Representatives on Tuesday last week, agreeably to the Constitution, proceeded to elect two persons of the four who had the highest number of votes; when, upon the first choice, it appeared that the Hon. Mr. Langdon had 45 votes, and President Sullivan 15—In the second choice, President Sullivan had 32, and Judge Bartlet 30; consequently Mr. Sullivan and Mr. Langdon were returned to the Senate, who proceeded to a choice when the latter had 4 votes, and the former 6—His Excellency John Sullivan was accordingly declared President.
