Boston. August 10.

By a Letter from Rocky Point in Cape Fear, North-Carolina, dated the 26th of May, we are informed, that they have had the greatest Rains ever known in those Parts:--Vessels of 120 and 200 Tons loaded, might have sailed over the Fields: many Persons were obliged to swim their Horses to return to their Dwellings, and in great Danger of being drowned: The People at Wilmington were obliged (many of them) to quit their Houses, by Reason that the Water flowed therein several Feet high:--Great Damage has been sustained by this Deluge:--The Rain continued 40 Days, in which Time the Sun was not Seen.
