The Schooner Viner, Capt. Charles Amory, sailed from Newfoundland the 8th of August, bound to New York, sprung a leak in a week after she came out, which increased for 12 Days, so that the Captain and Hands were obliged to take to their Boat, which was on Sunday last Week, and in about 4 Hours after they were taken up 18 Leagues East of Cape Cod, by a Fishing Schooner, Benjamin House, Master, of Situate; they then endeavoured to save what they could from the Schooner, which was her Long Boat, Sails, one Anchor, and a few other Articles, and arrived here Wednesday: It is supposed the schooner sunk in two or 3 Hours after she had left her.
