Full Text

Messrs FOWLE,

You are desired to give the following Extract from a late annual Register, a Place in your next Paper.

R. ROTHERAM, in a Philosophical Enquiry into the Nature and Properties of WATER, lately published, says, "one Effect of SNOW, which I can assure my Readers of is, that a certain Quantity of it, taken up fresh from the Ground, and mixed in a flour PUDDING, will supply the Place of EGGS, and make it equally light; the Quantity allotted is two table Spoonfuls instead of one Egg ; and if this Proportion be much exceeded, the Pudding will not adhere together, but will fall to Pieces in boiling. I assert this from the Experience of my own Family ; and any one who chuses to try it, will find it to be Fact."
