Full Text

We have received from the publishers at Hartford, Messrs. D. F. Robinson & Co. a copy of a little work of 99 pages, entitled "The Child's Book of Geography, by S. R. Hall." The work is embellished with a great number of handsome plates and cuts to illustrate the subjects treated on, and to give children an idea of things which mere study might not do. It is, as the author remarks in his preface, a "simple and intelligible" treatise; gives descriptions and explains the meaning of towns, boundaries, mountains, hills, valleys, houses, factories, &c. &c., and we should think exceedingly well calculated to promote the object in view. Parents and teachers would do well to examine the work. It is for sale at Lord's bookstore in this village.
