BELLS OF THE YEAR

When the bells ring out this New Year's morning, proclaiming the birth of another year, many will look back upon their past lives with dissatisfaction or regret, and will resolve to mend their ways and make a better record during the year that lies ahead.

THE CHURCH FOR ALL
ALL FOR THE CHURCH
The Church is the a

Many of these good resolutions may soon be forgotten; others, doubtless, will be faithfully kept. But the habit of looking back and appraising the past, and the impulse to make our lives better each year, bespeak character that is fundamentally sound.

A resolution which every person should make this New Year's Day is the resolution to place greater stress on the spiritual elements in life during the coming year than they have done in the past. For spiritual values are the highest and most enduring values in human life.

The Church can be of great help to those who seek to enlarge their spiritual outlook and enjoy the happiness and rich blessings of a living faith.

This is the message of the New Year bells, as they call us to the House of God and the paths of eternal peace.

THE CHURCH

The Church is the greatest factor on earth for the building of character and good citizenship. It is a storehouse of spiritual values. Without a strong Church, neither democracy nor civilization can survive. There are four sound reasons why every person should attend and support the church of his choice. They are: (1) For his own sake. (2) For his children's sake. (3) For the sake of his community and nation. (4) For the sake of the Church itself, which needs his moral and material support. Plan to go to church on Sunday and read your Bible daily.
