December 27. The Storm we had here on Monday last, did considerable Damage to the Wharves; at the Long-Wharf a great Quantity of Boards, Shingles, Staves, Mats, Yards, Hogsheads, Barrels, and other things were washed on and off; the small Crane House at the lower End was floated a considerable Way up the Wharf, as was the Remains of the Breast Work there. The Damage done to the Salt, Sugars, &c. is also very considerable. A great Quantity of Lumber, &c. and some Hundred Cords of Wood, were washed off other Wharves in Town.
