The following melancholy accident happened a few days since in Newbury Township, York county, about ten miles from York : Andrew Sciple, and Mathias Sugar, went unfortunately a gunning on the same day; Sciple went with an intention to hunt turkeys, took with him a pipe or instrument by which he intended to decoy them, and for that purpose concealed himself behind a rock, which lay on the descent of a precipice ; being thus ambushed sounding his siren pipe ; Sugar then within hearing, alarmed at the noise, concluded it to be made by a turkey, and viewing the place from which it proceeded, discovering something black moving. he instantly presented and fired, but most unfortunately for Sciple, at his head, through which the ball passed and put an immediate period to his existence! -Sugar has since discovered the fact, for the commission of which he shews the utmost contrition.
