GETTING BETTER GAS SERVICE
Investigation at Wichita Appears to Have Improved Condition.

Wichita, Kan., Dec. 30.--There has been such an improvement in the gas service and quality that Commissioner James Murry has not had occasion to use his apparatus for testing the pressure, he states.

"We have had no reason to complain at our house about the gas service since the investigation was held," said Mr. Murry. "I have not heard a complaint, and I have not felt that it was necessary to use the testing apparatus. There seems to be more heat in the gas than there was, and I do not notice that it blows out as it did before the investigation. I believe that the investigation was a benefit to consumers."

The Kansas Gas & Electric company is preparing to build a laboratory to test and measure the quality of its gas delivered to Wichita consumers.
