WASHINGTON, D.C., Sept. 30.--The total of War Savings Stamps throughout the United States for the first seven months of 1919 amounted to nearly $100,000,000, according to a report made by the Savings Division of the Treasury Department.
The exact figure is $95,400,470.21. This makes a per capita investment of about ninety cents whereas the government at the beginning of the year asked a per capita purchase of $10 worth of War Stamps in order to meet war debts.
