The West-India Latitudes.
It is expected will be the theatre of carnage the ensuing summer. The British armament has, in part, certainly arrived; and reports are current, that a French squadron has also been spoken with near the islands; probably Admiral Richery's from Cadiz. Leogane, in Hispaniola, has been captured by the British; but the town was destroyed before the French left it--Petit-Guave, was also expected to fall, as the British naval force was powerful.

FURTHER.
Capt. Cruft arrived yesterday, informs, that previous to the 5th March, 60 sail of the fleet from England, with 8 or 10,000 troops has arrived at Barbadoes:--That one of the transports had been captured to the windward of Barbadoes, by a French privateer of 18 or 20 guns, having 180 troops on board--and that six more had been taken by French privateers, and carried into Cayenne, one of which had a £30,000 cargo on board, as reported at Barbadoes--Only one or two 74 gun ships had arrived one of which with a reinforcement of 900 men had sailed for St. Vincents.
