Old Bonnifield Home at Fairfield Will be Preserved in Park as Historical Relic.
Fairfield, Oct. 23. -(Special.)-- There is to be an old fashioned log rolling raising at Pioneer Park Friday. The old Bonnifield cabin is to be put together. The following invitation has been issued by the committee:
"To the public: You are cordially invited to attend the log rolling and log raising of the Bonnifield log cabin at Old Settlers' Park, North Court street, on Friday, Oct. 25. Bring your frow and help rive the shingles. Work begins at 9 o'clock. Bring your dinner and your camera and have a good time."
The Bonnifield cabin is the old home of W. B. Bonnifield, the Ottumwa banker, and is one of the oldest houses standing in the state. It will be preserved as a historical relic.
