Transferring Agents' Licenses.

The licenses of commercial agents became due on the 1st of this month, and three "knights of the road," who were derelict in taking out their licenses, paid their respects to Judge Snell to-day. Major Dye has detailed Detectives Raff and Block to give their special attention to this class of cases.

James H. Low, who represents Sidenberg & Bro. of New York, was put on trial for doing business without a license. He showed a license that he said had been transferred to him by Mr. Fletcher of Fletcher & Lamar. The transfer was not regular, and he declined to state for what consideration the alleged transfer was made. He finally said it was one cent. Judgment of guilty was given and sentence was suspended. The fine is $25. George A. Simmons and A. D. Brackett were charged and promised to take out a license, and sentence was suspended.
