SACRAMENTO, Cal., May 15. (U.P.)—Legislation designed to help end labor disputes remained a major issue today as California's lawmakers closed the 11th week of their spring session and faced a fortnight of intensive cleanup work.

Both houses were in recess for the week end.

Admittedly stymied by the failure of any one of three labor relations board proposals to win approval of both houses, labor supporters made one last drive to accomplish something before adjournment.

They advocated the appointment of a joint committee of senators and assemblymen to meet early next week, formulate a program acceptable to both houses and rush it through to final consideration.
