CIVIL DEFENSE EVACUATION
TEST, MARCH 28

Three City schools participated in the nuclear attack drill held by the Joint City-County Civil Defense Corps on March 28. The schools were Andalucia, Loma Linda and Monterey Park. Civil Defense officials commended the schools for the orderly and efficient manner in carrying out the drill. Pupils were moved beyond school grounds in nine City busses provided by the Division of Public Transit. The bus operators donated their time for the limited evacuation test. A full-scale all-school evacuation drill to 5 miles out is scheduled for next October.
