Canterbury, March 21.

We hear from Cranbrook, that a young Gentlewoman of a good Fortune, who boarded with a Relation, a Widow Gentlewoman, and being newly of Age, had received 500 l. of her Guardian in Part of her Fortune; they being invited to spend an Evening with a Neighbour, staid till about Twelve at Night, leaving the House without any Body in it.

When they return'd, they found the back Door thrown off the Hooks, several Locks open'd, and the Money gone. There were Rings and Plate in the same Place not taken.

Strict Search has been made, and People examin'd, but nothing can be heard of it as yet.
