Litigation Between Newspapers.

The St. Louis Democrat Company filed a suit in the circuit court, Saturday, against the Staats Zeitung Company, the Western Associated Press, and the proprietor of the St. Louis Globe. The petition in the case asks that the Globe be enjoined from publishing the dispatches of the Associated Press, and the Associated Press be enjoined from delivering its dispatches to that paper. The suit grows out of the recent sale of the Staats Zeitung to the Globe, which was recognized by the majority of the local board, and the agent of the Associated Press was instructed to deliver dispatches to the Globe. The Democrat dissented from this action, and claims that it was a clear violation of the by-law of the Associated Press governing the admission of new papers, which says that no new paper shall be admitted to the Associated Press except with the unanimous consent of the members in the city where the application is made. The case will come up in the February term of the court.
