Extract of a letter to a gentleman in New York dated Alexandria N.y 16

"If you should hear of three great personages from Vermont, such as Judge Robinson of the Senate, Judge Fisk, and another Member from that State, passing through New York on their way home, you may guess that they have not the fullest confidence in their Madisonean Electors and think it advisable to be on the spot to give them some information on that very important subject in relation to whom they shall give their vote."
