Splurgers.
Several of Stanford's stylish young men made a visit to the very interesting ville of Walnut Flat, on last Sunday. The gorgeousness of their git-ups and the fascinatingness of their curly pates, handsome pate-kivers and gum elastic rubber age-supporters will not speedily be forgotten by the rural damsels in that quarter.
A couple of the aforesaid gents are supposed to be either in the chicken business, or are patentees of a portable hen roost, or perhaps to some extent dealers in fresh hen-fruit, we don't know which, but we can't account for their carrying full-grown dominique hens to church on any other hypothesis.
