Full Text

Letters from Constantinople, dated April 3, advise that the Ministers of the Christian Powers, residing at that Court, waited a few days ago on the new Captain Pasha or Grand Admiral, and complimented him upon his being promoted to that high Dignity. They were received in a very polite manner, and the Pasha assured them he should be very attentive to observe religiously all the Treaties subsisting between the Ottoman Porte and the Christian Powers. Every thing is very quiet there, the late changes among the principal Ministers of that Court not having produced the least alteration in the general System of Affairs of the Empire.
