Full Text

It is reported at the west end of the town, that in some conferences which one of our Secretaries of State had lately with the Ministers of two Great Northern Powers, his Lordship having pressed closely for certain explanations, could obtain no satisfactory answer. And we are assured, by a respectable correspondent, that no intimations on our part, will have the least effect on that quarter. These powers having determined to persevere in such measures, as will be the means of establishing the peace of that part of Europe, on the most permanent & respectable footing---as they are pleased to term it.
