The Elector for this District.
It will be seen from the proceedings of the American District Convention, held at Moundsville on the 24th inst. that J. W. GALLAHER, Esq., of Marshall county, was appointed Presidential Elector for this District. Mr. GALLAHER, though a young man is, we understand, a fearless and zealous supporter of Fillmore & Donelson, and designs meeting Mr. Clemens, the Democratic Elector, at every point. We therefore regard the selection as a capital one, and have no doubt that through his efforts our cause will be materially benefited.-- Wheel. Times.

Let Mr. Gallagher take the field at once, and show up the vagaries of the Buccaneers, as he is able to do, and all will be well. We shall look for an early publication of his appointments. Come over, Gallagher, and breathe the pure air, and imbibe the lofty patriotism, of our mountains. Fillmore stock is rising here, but we want it to go up and up, till victory crowns our efforts. Roll on the ball for our gallant leaders.
