CONVENTION INVITED.

Reports reaching the Morning Journal from various sections of the state indicate that sentiment among the politicians of both parties is almost wholly in favor of holding the state conventions this year in Albuquerque. It is pointed out that the Duke City by reason of its geographic location and railroad facilities is easy to reach either by auto or by train, also that we have an auditorium large enough to accommodate the crowds as well as ample hotel facilities for feeding and housing the delegates and visitors.

Nothing would give the citizens of Albuquerque more pleasure than to have the conventions come here. Our people would consider it an honor to entertain two such gatherings, and everything possible would be done to maintain the high standard of hospitality for which the city is noted.

We respectfully urge upon the state central committees to choose Albuquerque as the convention city this year, as we believe the rank and file in both parties will heartily approve their selection.

Somebody ought to arrange to line up the home guards so they can prevent a panic when the people begin crowding up to the main entrance to "demand" the renomination of Senator Albert Bacon Fall.
