By the British Packet Osborn, Lieut.
Roberts, 28 days from Falmouth, we are
furnished with London papers of the
14th October.
The Ionian government have adopt-
ed an extraordinary and highly discred-
itable measure against the Greeks. In
consequence of Christian powers per-
miting their vessels to be employed
under the Turkish flags, the Greeks
had declared their intention to take en-
energetic measures against such unlawful
interference in neutrals. The govern-
ment of the Ionian Islands calls it an act
of hostility, and has in consequence in-
formed the Greek government that their
vessels will be captured until their de-
cree is repealed. Two English frigates
from Corfu have gone to meet the ad-
mmiral's ship, at anchor before Zante, to
put the decree into effect.
