Extract of a Letter from London, December 6. 1769.
I can assure you, from the very best Authority, that all the Petitions which have been circulating this Summer, and the Operations of the Supporters of the Bill of Rights, will end in Smoke & Vapour: That the Duke of Grafton, and the present Ministry, will stand their Ground: That the Parliament will not be dissolved: And that the Differences with the Colonies, will be settled in the best Manner that can be devised, consistent with the Dignity of Government, and the Supremacy of the Legislature over all the British Empire; for there only the whole difficulty lies.
