Full Text

The President has a perfect right to seek relaxation from official cares at Bedford Springs, and his constitutional advisers are equally free to make summer jaunts for recreation or health, but such things only impress upon the older editors of the country the fact that Mr. Buchanan was among the most vindicative assailants of John Quincy Adams for leaving Washington during his term, and that the Democratic papers between 1825 1829 always announced the departure of either of his Secretaries from the Capital with staring cuts of a runaway slave, or daring capitals of "Traveling Cabinet."-[Louisville Journal.
