Synod of Georgia.—At the recent meeting of the Synod of Georgia, Hopewell Presbytery reported 24 ministers and 32 churches; Presbytery of Georgia reported 12 ministers and 9 churches; Flint River Presbytery reported 17 ministers and 41 churches; Cherokee Presbytery reported 15 ministers and 28 churches. The Presbytery of Florida failed to report, but had last year, 7 ministers and 13 churches; making, with the above reports, a total of 72 ministers and 123 churches. Communicants reported to the last General Assembly 4989. Reference to the Minutes of the General Assembly for 1820, shows there were but 7 Presbyterian ministers then in this State, and the aggregate of members in the few churches existing, about 340.
