Full Text

Indignation Meeting.—A telegraphic dispatch from Knoxville, states that the friends of the "Transfer Bill" held an "indignation meeting" at the Court House, in that place on Saturday night last. There is said to have been a very fair turn out, and a resolution, offered by the gentleman who made the speech of the occasion, resolving that they were d—d mad generally, was carried by acclamation. Rumor says that the "Athens Post" and the "Cleveland Branch" suffered some.—Sorry we didn't receive notice in time to be present, as a full report of the proceedings could not fail to interest. We regret, too, having to spoil the calculations of our very particular friend in that direction, but some pork will boil so.
