Some of the Eastern madcaps were lately so besotted as to think and even, speak of carrying their disorganizing schemes into effect by force of arms. When the Athenians were once for rushing into a war which they had neither strength nor means to succeed in, Phocion thus addressed them-- "Good People, keep to the method in which you have the advantage, and that is TALKING not FIGHTING."-The same salutary advice we give the Boston Junto.
According to a statement in the Aurora, the new Congress will be composed of 127 Republicans and 52 Federalists, viz. in Senate 27 Republicans and 7 Federalists —in the House, 100 Republicans and 45 Federalists. Of the 100 Republicans, however, three are Delegates from the Territories, who may speak but have no vote. In despite of all the successes and triumphs which Federalists have trumpeted from Georgia to Maine, Republicans have still more than two thirds of the Members of the National Legislature!
