Work is in full swing on the Centennial Historical edition that will appear in the Ronan PIONEER and the St. Ignatius POST September 16.
But there is scads and scads of work to be done. It's astronomical in proportions! So—
Send at your earliest possible convenience or leave with The PIONEER or The POST any stories or pictures of pioneer days. Please!
The Theme of the edition will be "One Hundred Years of Progress in the Mission Valley. Naturally the story starts with the St. Ignatius Mission Fort Connah, and other epoch marking events.
A letter from the Historical Society of Montana to The POST, dated from Helena Aug. 13, says: "Your special historical issue planned for Sept. 16 will be of particular interest to us, for these anniversary issues contain so much of the history of a community in concentrated form that they are referred to time and again."
The first person to pay in advance for a copy of this edition is Roy E. Floyd of Vancouver, Washington. He is in this area supervising the tie-In of the Hungry Horse power output with the Bonneville administration. Mr. Floyd left 50 cents. We hope to Sell many of this special number and we gratefully acknowledge the support that is being given us by the executive officials of the St. Ignatius Mission Centennial.
