From Cadiz - April 12.
"We are all supplied with flour; it may therefore be quoted at 7 a 8 dollars. The prices of other articles of American produce and manufacture, are as follows: Rice 6 a 7 dollars; Indian corn 1 a 2 per heaped fanega; bees wax 40 cents; beef 1.7 and pork 23 dollars; Salmon, pa', beans, pitch tar &c. generally unproductive; fish 4; this article will not answer until winter; Sherry wines have risen to 26 dollars per quarter cask; lemons 3 1/2 dollars; cinnamon, pepper and cloves, unsaleable; New York or Philadelphia, good pipe, wou'd command 125 dollars; hhd. 80. and bb'. 45; New England staves, 15 dolls.; Salt 7 dollars, per last; wheat 2 a 2 1/2 dollars. By a late order from government, no vessel will be admitted here in the course of two months, unless they bring a certificate from the Spanish consul or magistrate, expressing the cargo, and for whose accounts it is."
