Instead of receiving funds enough to pay our back dues, we have not received sufficient to pay our weekly expenses. In this way, we can never get out of debt. Will not our delinquent subscribers, and all others indebted open their hearts, their purses we should say, aid remedy this growing evil?

Ohio Election.

We are indebted to the Daily Evening Despatch, a slip printed at the office of the Chillicothe Metropolis, for the following returns:

Ross—The entire Whig ticket elected. Majority for Representatives about 1,000.
A large majority against Convention and a small one against the Railroad.

Montgomery—Whig all over. Majority from 160 to 350.

Hamilton—All is in a state of glorious confusion. Not more than half the vote of the city was polled.

Muskingum—Whig by from 700 to 1000. Majority against Convention and for Railroad.

Cuyahoga—The Democracy gain a Senator, and the Free Soilers a Representative—a Whig loss.

Medina and Lorain—The Democracy prevail, Townshend is beaten, thank God!

Highland and Fayette—Whig Senator and Representative, a Whig gain.

Huron and Erie—Whig.

Seneca—Locofoco by from 500 to 700. Breslin is re-elected.

Meigs—Whig from 100 to 200.

Morgan—Whig ticket elected.

Logan—Whig of course.

Clark, Champaign and Madison—Whig by a large majority.

Greene—Whig all over.

Washington—Whig all over. Poor Lemon Fouts—he is sour.

Licking—Whig ticket elected, a Whig gain. Railroad carried.

Darke and Shelby Ward—Whig, is elected by 150 majority. Muttfor's majority in Shelby is one vote. He was the 'order, hell!' candidate. Whig gain.

Franklin—The entire locofoco ticket is elected. The Representative was Locofoco, the last session.

Summit—Loco by 300.

Lucas and Wood—Whig by 300—a gain.

Miami—Whig.

Thus far, we have gained four Representatives and lost one. We have lost the Senator from Cuyahoga, which we will balance by a gain from Hamilton.

Railroad.

The question of subscription is lost in this county by a large majority. The same intelligence reaches us from Ross and Pickaway. The latter disputed. Franklin, Licking and Muskingum have voted a subscription, additional, to the Central Railroad. This will ensure its construction.

The vote in this county was very small. We do not suppose that the vote 'for subscription' will reach 1600. We cannot ascertain the number, until the official returns are in and counted.
