Full Text

From the Albany Daily Advertiser.

It is semi-officially announced in the Argus that there will not be a congressional caucus to nominate the next president. If so, then why is the patron of the Argus endeavoring to effect a caucus? But this is not the first time that he has looked one way and pulled another. It is characteristic of the man, and the people of this state will not be duped by the soothing tunes played upon his organ here, while he is abroad forming plans to strengthen the "combination" that is to acknowledge him as chief.

'Then the Fox preaches, let the Geese beware.'
