Full Text

Some of the most popular and brilliant writers of England are now engaged in the Editorship of journals, like the one just mentioned.

Blackwood numbers among some of his contributors many names well known to fame; the New Monthly presents many more; and the Metropolitan Moore still. Campbell, though his poetical vein seems lapsing away, is yet an energetic and beguiling proser;--and the fancy of his colleague still roams among the fairy regions of the Orient, and brings home treasures bright as the sands of Sarinacand. It would be well if a portion of the available talent in America, were brought into play by the encouragement and patronage which similar ability receives for its efforts in England.
