WASHINGTON, D. C.—John Fanning, director of Industrial Relations, of the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense, announced a new directive for enforcement of labor standards provisions in construction contracts.
The program includes training of personnel, informing contractors on their obligations, adequate payroll and on-the-site inspections, "prompt investigation and disposition of complaints," and prompt submission to the Labor Department of all reports.
