The notorious Jake Sharp, who bribed several New York aldermen in the matter of obtaining the right of way for the Broadway railroad, has come to grief. The jury was out thirteen minutes and brought in a verdict of guilty. Sharp was remanded to jail till the 16th of July, when he will be brought into court and sentenced. He is represented as a broken down old man whose lease of life has nearly run out, and who can not hope for freedom again in this world. New York justice has wonderfully improved since the days of "Boss Tweed."
