Full Text

Mr. PURDIE,

IT is hoped that some of the gentlemen at least, who have advertised their intention of re-emigrating to Britain, will have honour enough to do this country justice. In order to this, let them communicate to their friends the resolutions of our General Convention in August last, which contain a full proof of the disposition of the Virginians towards all strangers residing amongst them. The indulgencies therein offered were more than any particular set of men in a society could reasonably have expected. How these indulgencies have been abused, a number of recent facts, of publick notoriety, will best evince.
